This product is absolutely fantastic for stabilizing quilts, table linen, and clothing – use it anywhere that you want a good tearaway stabilizer while embroidering, but do not want any additional weight or bulk in your finished project.  After you have embroidered your design, simply tear away the excess stabilizer from around the edges of the embroidery.  Leave the little pieces in small areas (like quilting grids) - whatever is left, will dissolve when the project is laundered, leaving only very fine polyester fibres. These fibres will adhere to the quilt wadding, batting, or pellon.
